Lost 3 lbs

Finally broke through my plateau! I was stuck at this since June. Total loss now is 41.5lbs. I'm not sure why it won't show 41.5 on my fitness pal ticker on your left of my blog page. It only showed 41.

I'm so happy to see it finally went down! Whew!!


Almost time for my kiddos to go back to school :-( I really love having them home with me meantime I do need myself time! So it'll be nice to have myself time without kids while they are at school.

My oldest son got a new haircut yesterday and looks very handsome! He's ready for high school! Hard to believe this! I'm so proud of him. He's very respectful and good young man! He wants to be a doctor one day cause he wants to help people!

My mom and I are going to take rest of kiddos (my young son and step daughter) for a haircut today. Gonna be a good day!

I will be busy whole next week with doctor/dentist appointments and visiting with open school to meet teachers and babysit my mom's dog, going to college myself, so on.

I'll stay in touch to update my weight loss etc.

Plateau!

Hello ! I haven't posted for few weeks. I have hit a Plateau! :-( I didn't lost any for the past 3 weeks then saw my doctor yesterday to request for a blood work to check on my hypothyroidism and Vit. D 3 levels also anemic. I'll know the results later this week or before this or on Monday. I weighed in and it showed I gained 1 lb.

I'll see my nutritionist on Monday and see what she can suggest.

It's frustrates for me but I won't give up!

New Loss!

Good Afternoon! I went to see my nutritionist last Thursday. I lost 4.4 lbs this week. Total loss 38.8 lbs! Almost getting to 40 lbs! I'll be getting a new reward once I hit 40 lbs! A new outfit! :-)

I learned that I have inspired a couple people at my doctor's office, one is the lady who handles the appointments. She stopped drinking the sodas. She told me that I inspired her! Second lady was the one I have knew all grew up. She works at my doctor's office. She told me I inspired her by reading my updates of weight loss on my facebook and now she is working on to lose her weight :-)

I signed up for 5k walking for this fall! I can't wait ! :-)

I feel like everything is going well for me! I'll continue see my nutritionist once a month just to hold me accountable! It helps! My back ache is GONE.. I mean I feel so great.. so energy! So happy!! :-) I love healthy foods. I don't miss sodas or fatty or fried foods!!! They aren't welcome into my body anymore! :-)

Busy ! Busy!

Off subject (not about weight)

I have been busy since last Friday!

Last Friday was my step daughter's 5th grade graduation. She's moving up to a 6th grade and into a MIDDLE school! Now we don't have a elementary kids in our house anymore!

Now my oldest son just graduated 8th grade yesterday! Now he's officially a freshman! Ninth grade! Hard to believe that he's a high school student now! He's very good young man! I'm so proud of him! He wants to go to college after he finish high school! So proud of him!!!!!

My last son has been prompting to 8th grade :-) Also my step son has been prompting to 7th grade!

Now I have one in high school and 3 in middle school! Hard to believe how the time flies so fast!!

Yep I'm making myself sounds like a brag but I'm so proud of them!!! :-D

30.2 lbs!

I had a weight in yesterday. I lost 1.8 lb. Total Loss is 30.2lbs! So I had a reward for my 30lbs is to get myself a new shoes!! :-) My next new reward is on 40lbs for a new outfit! Look forward to this!! :-) Here's a picture of me, so PROUD! :-) Thankful for the supporters from my husband, children, family & friends!

Happy Saturday!

I only lost 0.8 lbs. Total Loss is 28.4 lbs.

That's okay! Better than none! I think it has to do with my PMS.

I can't stay on writing more. I just want to stop by and type here to update my weight loss that's all.

Awesome! I'm just glad that It's continuing going down!

Nutritionist

I went to see my nutritionist this morning for a weight in with them. Their scale showed way lower than what I saw on my scale yesterday! It showed that I have lost 5.4 lbs. They said their weight scale is more accurate. So I'll go with what their scale said!! She said since March 7th I have lost total 23.8lbs! I asked her if I should trust my scale? She said all scales are different so the important is that I should see that I'm still losing pounds, doesn't matter what number it is. Just make sure I am not gaining and is still losing! :D She said that I should still weigh in myself at home weekly just to make sure that I'm still losing, not gaining. I'll go back and see her next month!

Weight in & My May Challenge goals.

I lost 3.3lbs! So total since March 7th I have lost is 21.8 lbs! YAY!!!! :-)

My goals for the month of May are:
- Walk outside for 30 minutes 3 times a week.
- Walk with Leslie Sansone Walk Away the Pounds DVD for 3 miles 2 times a week.

- Body strength 2 to 3 times a week.
- Lose 4% of my body weight.
- Continue using my food diary to count my daily calories.


I'll go see my nutritionist tomorrow morning so I'm hoping the weight in on her scale will show same as what I saw this morning on my scale!

For Breakfast - I had a scrambled eggs with cheese in it along with 2 cups of coffee bec I didn't had enough sleep last night due to my cat.

For snack, I'll have strawberries, halves, 1 cup. I usually get yogurts for my snack but I'm out of yogurts so the strawberries will have to be my snack until I go out to the store to get some more yogurts.

I have had 32.9oz water since 6am and will continue to drink more water through out all day today.

I walked 3 miles with Leslie Sansone Walk Away the Pounds this morning!

3lbs

3lbs is how much I have lost today! YAY! So total I have lost since March 7th is 18lbs and a half!

I think 3lbs since the last weight in April 11th sounds good. I was on PMS so it was difficult to get through with it but I did it! :-)

I just had a omelet with ham and cheese inside for breakfast along with a cup of coffee!

I have decided that my progress pictures will be every 3 months. I did my first one back in March 7th so I'll get myself a picture on June 7th and post it to see if we all can see the different. My husband and son can see a bit different in my body!

I will be going to see my nutritionist next week on Thursday then I think I'll see her once a month.. not every 2 weeks.

I'll be back on Wednesday (a week from today) to update my weight loss.

Non-Scale Victory!

My clothes are getting loose on me!!! YAY!!! That's the first thing I noticed the different on me! :-D

I'll need to buy a body measure tape to keep track on it bec I realized that the scale isn't only the tool to see if I have lost any weight.

I usually weight in every Wednesdays but I'll not do it today. I decided to do it every 2 weeks so I'll weight myself next week on Wednesday.

Happy Sunday!

I woke up at 6am and took my med then cooked me a breakfast. I had a omelet with shredded sharp cheese and one slice of bagel with a low fat cream cheese and one cup coffee for my breakfast.

I wanted to share with you about my visit with my nutritionist last Thursday. She had me to weigh in and it showed that I lost 1lb and a half, different than what I weighed myself at home last Wednesday. Keep in your mind - I don't weight myself daily. I do it once a week on Wednesdays but I thought I'd do it last Wednesday at home since I'll see my nutritionist on that Thursday (which was last Thursday). So not sure why it's different within a day.. so maybe due to my scale isn't like their or that I pushed myself to walk a little more than 1 1/2 mile, was almost to 2 miles.

So total I have lost since March 7th is 15lbs and a half!

From now on - I'm going to weight myself every 2 weeks on Wednesdays. Increase my exercises.

I walked 2 miles with Leslie Sansone at home (DVD) yesterday morning and then walked almost 2 miles outside my house on the dirt path during yesterday evening after dinner :-) Yesterday was a beautiful day! My husband mowed the yard and we hanged mostly outside for like almost 4 hours! I would mow the yard but I have to watch my kiddos.


I'll post my meal for today. I have to stay in at or under 1,600 calories daily. I always drink first 16.9oz water in the morning before I have my breakfast. I do not like to drink straight out of milk so my nutritionist told me to eat two yogurts a day to make up for a milk.

Breakfast:
- Omelet (2 large eggs) with shredded sharp cheese (about 1/4 cup).
- One slice of bagel, plain with 2 tbsp cream cheese
- One cup coffee with a little cream and milk



Snack:
- Chobani Greek Yogurt with nonfat-strawberry and banana (6oz). LOVE LOVE CHOBANI!

Lunch:
- Chicken Alfredo Florentine with broccoli

Snack:
- Cheese String and one piece of pickle dill

Dinner:
- Chicken Breast,Skinless and Boneless (about 4oz), I put Mrs Dash seasoning salt on it.. sometimes adds lemon juice in it and bake it.
- Broccoli with cheese sauce
- Baked potatoes (about 3.30oz) I wash the potatoes then cut them up slices into rounds and wash them again and dry them with paper towel then use non stick cooking spray onto the oven pan then add the potatoes slices everywhere on it and add some seasoning on it if you want to. It's almost like chips but not.


Snack:
- Chobani Greek Yogurt with nonfat - strawberry
- Strawberries, halves (about one cup)
- sometimes I'd add one cuties mandarin oranges (kids size) and they are only 29 calories! (depends on how much calories I have totaled it up before add the orange)

Drinks for all meals above are WATER! :-) I haven't had a soda or candies since March 7th!

I usually go for a walk or do leslie sansone but most time walk outside after Breakfast and Dinner. Love to be outside for a walk!

Plateau!

Looks like I'm on a plateau! Wednesdays is my weight in day but I am going to see my nutritionist tomorrow to weight in but I thought I'd weight in today with my weight scale at home today and it showed same amount as the last week! No lose! No gain! So apparently that's a plateau now? :-/ I did everything I'm supposed to do daily. I guess I got to make some changes on my daily plan and see if that will work!

New Haircut...Subway... & more..

I went to the salon last Sunday to get a new haircut. My hair was so long. I feel like they were in my way so got a new haircut. I feel much better with shorter haircut, so light! Top picture of me with a new haircut compare to the below picture that was taken like a month ago.


I haven't had a soda or candy since March 7th! Woot!! :-) Been on water a lot but sometimes have one cup of coffee for breakfast.

I have been walking a lot lately. I just walked this morning after I had my breakfast. Today is supposed to be my weight in day but I have appointment to see my nutritionist tomorrow so that's when I'll get to weight in tomorrow but after that I'll weight in myself every Wednesdays.

Hope I'll see a pound still goes down. I know I did all what I'm supposed to do. Counted my calories daily. Walked more. So wait and see how that goes with the weight in tomorrow. Keep in mind, I have a hypothyroidism so that could be difficult for me to lose any pounds sometimes.. also I have a slow metabolism.

I have had 33.8oz water since I woke up at 630a.

I downloaded an app called ALLSport GPS on my phone few days ago. This will track at how much I have walked or run etc. They'll give me calories that I have burned. They do have a minutes that will tell me how long I have been out walking and more. Check it out. They are free. They do have premium to pay but I don't need it. So I like the ones that's free.

My kids love going for a walk with me everyday. They'd tell me let's walk!! right after the dinner time :-) I love when they do that. They used to tell me they are tired of doing that.. so boring etc but now they are having fun walking down the path with me then they get to play outside after we are done with the walking! :-)

Now about Subway - I remember before I re started my weight loss journal, I used to have a footlong sub to eat whole for dinner.. Well yesterday I decided to get fresh fit 6 inch sub which was a black forest ham along with turkey etc all for just 380 calories for dinner that's it. I was surprised when I tried to see how much calories was for Italian B.M.T footlong bec that was what I ate long time before and found out they are like 1,200 calories for the footlong! I couldn't believe that! I mean WOW! I wasn't watch out for calories before. I thought they were always healthy etc but nope! You have to research.. read calories etc. I can't believe what I did to myself before. I'm just glad that now I can get healthy and always read and read food labels! Stay in my daily calories!

TV, Movies and Me
1. If you could be a recurring star on a show that is currently on TV, which show would you choose?  Marlee Matlin on Switched at birth!

2. Name the movie that you are most embarrassed to admit that you love. Love Romantic movies.. sometimes I'd be like oh I wish that's me in this movie! I don't cry at any of movies but have been sad at times and it does give me a goosebumps! The most name of movie I LOVE is The yellow handkerchief.

3. Name one show that you’ve never seen and would love to watch.  I'd love to watch a movie called Rust and Bone. Hope I'll get to watch it soon.

4. Do you ever go to movies alone?  No

5. If you could only watch one TV show for the next year, which show would you choose and why?  Switched at birth! Bec I'm hearing impaired so I feel so comfortable watching this bec we have same culture on sign language that I don't see many tv shows have that.

8. Who is the most famous person with whom you have been in the same room? Long time ago I was like 16. I saw a actor who played in Melrose Place (that show doesn't run on tv anymore). His name was Grant Show but he plays as Jack. I saw him at ECU (East Carolina University) Pig tail party but never went up to him but saw him standing out there with crowd of people going up to him I guess for autograph.

Daily Food Diary

I'm wondering how do you plan your daily food diary? Do you fill them out the moment you get something to eat? Or do you fill them out at night time for tomorrow?

I know there's apps or websites that you can go to and fill them out etc.. but I like doing it in my own food diary book where I write them down. I feel they are better for me. That way I don't have to get back to computer again and again to update the foods I have ate. I just carry the food diary book with me all the time.

I don't stay on computer ALL DAY. I get on in the morning and then around lunch time and then one at night time before I go bed.

So tell me about yours. How do you do your food diary? On website? Or your own book? and how do you plan yours at night time or the moment you have the food in your hand and you write them down?

I do always write my "tomorrow" food diary every night so that I can stay with this and stay in my daily calories. I just follow what my food diary says! Know what I mean?

Hope you can understand at what I was trying to say and ask about this.

I am who I am... Me, Myself and I

My birthday was good. I just wish there wasn't any raining on my birthday today! Hard to believe I'm actually 35 year old! Where did the time went?! I thought about rewards for my weight loss for every 10 pounds, get a small reward to help keep me motivation and keep up with it so for the 14 pounds I have lost since March 7th, I got some new hair accessories so that I can fix my hair in different ways, not just the ponytail all the time. I want to feel so special all the time. I want to be who I am whether you like it or not. That's me and I'll do whatever I want with myself that I'll be happy with it. Also for past several months I did feel like I didn't want to post any new pictures of myself bec of weight issues and too embarrassed to show that which is why you see a lot of my past pictures that always shows mostly of my children or hubby but not much of me. So I thought a lot after I had a talk with a friend of mine last week and I thought hmm, It doesn't matter about how I look or how I do etc.. I am Amy. I am me. I have to learn to love myself for who I am and just be myself and not care what people thinks of me and if they don't like me or how I looks, then fine. Just go away and I don't care. I just want them to accept me for who I am not for something they wants me to be that they prefer. I want to lose my weight and get healthy for me. Not for anyone. Just for me, myself and I , so that I can live longer and be more active better for my kids and my future grand children. This is why I'm starting posting pictures of me lately. I'm proud of be who I am!

Weight Day

Hello ! Been a busy day for me. I went to see my doctor today for a follow up visit. I only lost 1 pound today. So total since March 7th I have lost is 14lbs. Really 1-2 pounds a week is normal and healthy amount to lose. I think I'm going to try increase my exercise time.

I'm posting a couple pictures that was taken from yesterday. So nice sunset! The kids are mine and hubby's. I have two sons age 14 and 13 from my previous relationship. I have two step children (my hubby's children) age 12 and 11. They lives with us. So on the picture - my oldest son isn't there bec he was staying at home. So we enjoyed walking down the path together. Really enjoyed!

So Tomorrow is my birthday. I'll be 35! I'll not be doing anything fun but to stay home with my family on my birthday.

It's getting late so I better get ready to go bed.

1. Did you have a set bedtime as a child?  If so, what was it? Yes I think 8pm was our bedtime while I was in elementary school and then 9p when I was like in 5th grade.. or so..then 10p was like maybe in 8th grade and then 11p during high school but most time was 10p.

2. Were you taught to be a member of the “Clean Plate Club?” Did it have affect your eating habits as an adult? No never had a club like that.

3. Share one thing that you were not allowed to do as a child. Not allowed to watch R- rated movies.

4. What is the cheapest gas price you can remember? 98 cents! I had my first car for my 16th birthday so I do remember the gas price at that time was 98 cents per gallon!

5. What was your favorite thing on the playground?  Swings

6. Share one thing that your parents always made you do that you didn’t like doing.  I don't remember. I think they do let me do what I want at what I like to do as long as they are OK with it. They don't make me join sports etc that I don't like doing this unless I tell them I want to join etc then they'll let me to.


7. Do you remember your first kiss?  If so, share the details!  I was 14. This boy and I were out at the skating rinks then his mom came and picked us up to take me home first.. while we were in his mom's car, back seat. He asked me "Can we kiss? " I nodded like yea so we kissed :-)

8. Did you prefer to play inside or outside?  Outside. I always went outside to play basketball or riding a bike or just walk down the street, sometimes hangs out with my neighbors friends and going to the wood just to walk through there.

9. What was your favorite TV show growing up?  Growing Pains,  Family Ties ,Full House, Punky Brewster, Alf, Facts of Life, The Cosby Show and Little House on the Prairie.

Good Morning!

 Good Morning! So glad today is Friday! My kiddos are home! No school today and the whole next week!

I had a omelet and one slice of bagel for breakfast along with one cup coffee this morning!

Yesterday after dinner, we (me and my hubby and kiddos) took a walk for one mile! I took a couple pictures, one of me in shadow! :-) And a beautiful sunset! It was so nice seeing sunset as we were walking down the path! :-)

9. Had technology enhanced your life, or has it over complicated your life? Yes. I LOVE internet. It's my most must thing to have bec it's where I am able to communicate with everybody like family, friends, doctors, etc.
10. If you could get paid to do any job, which job would you choose? work with deaf children or work in an medical office, something that I can keep walking and not sitting down the whole time to work.

GOOD NEWS!

SINCE March 7th 2013 to today, I have lost 13lbs !!! YAY!!

I'm so excited! All I did was count my calories and stay in my daily calories and make sure that every I eat has protein in it and drink a lot WATER! WATER! WATER! WALK 2 times daily!

Sodas has been out of my life since March 7th! GOODBYE SODAS!! :-)

I'm feeling so GREAT!! SO HAPPY! I hope that I could keep up with it!

I know I haven't made a new post since Jan but I didn't work on my weight loss until earlier of March and finally I saw my nutritionist so she helped me what I need to do. :-)

Well, I gotta to go! I'll be back to update more sometimes when I can.

Day 1....

I took my medicines. I had two 8oz. water bottles so far. Good to start off I guess so. I haven't got on the fat flush drink yet bec I forgot to buy peppermint leaves and grapefruit so I guess I'll get them later today and may try it tomorrow.. at least I had some water today. I had one cup coffee this morning. I did some work out for 10 minutes. I haven't got to read my bible today yet, probably will get to read tonight. I had some lean cusines yesterday (Spaghetti with meat sauce).

I guess that's not bad to start off today. Tomorrow, I'll try start do a fat flush drink and have more lean and protein meals to eat and increase drink water. This is what I'll do like that this week.

I do not have my weight scale. The one I had is old and doesn't make accurate weight amount so I will try get a new weight scale sometimes this week.

I'll come back on Monday Jan 14th to update.

I am looking forward to watch Switched at Birth tonight! My favorite tv show!

New Years 2013 Resolutions

Hello ! Our Thanksgiving and Christmas was wonderful but it wasn't same without my dearly grandma. She has went to heaven last April.

I am wondering if any of you are doing a new resolution for your year 2013? I am not good on keeping my resolution but I'll list what I need to work on this year but I can't promise that I'll be keeping at that.

Like I said I'm not good with keeping my resolution but thinking about doing that as simple.

1. Drink more water better and eat more lean and protein, vegetables and fruits. (Not worry about look out for healthy etc but to be sure to eat meals that has lean, protein, vegetables and fruits And not to over eat that is all I got to keep in my mind). I also will drink whey protein daily. I was going to do Kim Lyons' special 5-ingredient FAT FLUSH WATER every morning for 10 days straight starting on Monday after that try to stay with MORE water than other kind of beverages.



2. Be more moving around in my house often! I was going to start following www.nowloss.com I feel they may be the one for me. I'll be starting doing their Phase 1 workout on Monday.


3. Start get back into coupons all the time, always bring coupons with me to any stores! Our budget isn't in good but having coupons would help us.

4. Take my Vitamin D  and other medicines straight daily! No forget or skips!


5. Read my bible or devotions daily!

6. Write my blog once a week to update my weight, eating etc!
